みなさんは、いろいろな国から日本にやってきて、漢字・ひらがな・カタカナと文字が3種類もある日本語を学び、大学で勉強しています。言葉だけでなく、文化も違う国での生活は、大変なときもあるかもしれませんが、たぶんとても楽しんでいるのではないかと思います。
Everyone came to Japan from various countries, and studying at university learning Japanese with three kinds letters like kanji, hiragana, katakana. Life in a country where the culture as well as language is different may be difficult at times, but I think maybe you are having a lot of fun.
人間の「器の大きさ」は、経験に比例します。
Experience is proportional to the size of the human vessel.
外国での経験は将来必ず役に立つことでしょう。失敗を恐れず、積極的にさまざまなイベントに出向き、多くの人とコミュニケーションを取ってください。日本人は、自分からは声を掛けませんが、日本語で話しかけてくれる外国の人には、皆、優しく接します。
Experience in a foreign country will surely be useful in the future.
Do not be afraid of failures, actively visit various events and communicate with many people. The Japanese does not call out to someone himself, but all foreigners who speak Japanese are met with affection and kindness.
人種や生まれた国が違っても、人は同じです。でも文化の違いで、理解し合えないこともあります。そんなときに拒否したり、否定したりせず、寛容な心で「ありのまま」を受け入れることが大切です。
Even if the race and the country of birth are different, people are the same. But because of cultural differences, there are things I cannot understand. It is important not to reject or deny such cases, except acceptance of “as it is” with a generous heart.
日本で学んでいる皆さんは、そんな寛容な心を持つことができるに違いありません。
